Heather Resch, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Resch grew up in Virginia, where she attended Virginia Tech, receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then stayed in Blacksburg to attend veterinary school where she met her husband Robert, graduating together in 2019. After graduation, she completed an emergency focused small animal internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Once complete, she spent a short time back in Virginia before joining her husband in Texas. While her husband was serving in the Army Veterinary Corps at Fort Hood, Dr. Resch joined a busy small animal practice in Belton Tx, where she spent the last few years treating a wide variety of sick and healthy patients. She now has joined Kindness Animal Hospital while her husband starts his next duty station at Walter Reed.
Dr. Resch’s professional interests include internal and emergency medicine which she was exposed to and practiced in depth throughout her internship and previous jobs. She enjoys reading and staying current on veterinary literature and keeping up with previous mentors and classmates.
In her free time, Dr. Resch enjoys walks with her rescue dog, Bailey, and her retired military working dog, Oscar. She also enjoys taking advantage of being close to her immediate family again, spending time on her parent’s farm in Williamsburg, VA.
